I have been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator since 2010 and love ALL THINGS paper crafting. I also have a scrapbooking retreat business called Scrap Happens Retreats. I love teaching and learning new techniques, sharing ideas, hosting my retreats, being a wife and a mom. Hiking, bicycling, gardening and cooking are a few of my other hobbies. "Make-It Monday" Ready for Christmas

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I'm late in posting today...I was glued to the T.V. this morning about the Las Vegas TRAGEDY...then I got a call to come in for a mani/pedi...and then I had to work! I'm home now...getting ready for home group tonight but I'm gonna QUICKLY post today's "Make-It Monday" project!

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets – Ready for Christmas Bundle (144679)
  • Card Stock – Thick Whisper White (140272)
  • Stamp Pads – Real Red (126949)
  • Misc. – Gold Foil Paper (132622); Woodland Embossing Folder (139673); Dimensionals (104430); Glue Dots (103683); Basic Jewels Rhinestones (144220) and color with Red Sharpie
  • Measurements:  
  • Thick Whisper White: 4 ¼”  x 11,   (2) 3 ¾” x 5” Mat, and Full Tree scraps for Tree Branches (10) and sentiment
  • Gold Foil:                   3 7/8” x 5 1/8”      scrap for trunk and star
Instructions:
  1. Score 4 ¼” x 11 Cardstock at 5 1/2 and fold in half
  2. Run one of the white mats through the big shot using the Woodland Embossing Folder
  3. Attach the embossed piece to the Gold Foil mat and then the front of the card using adhesive.
  4. Cut out shape of tree with other white mat so you have a solid tree
  5. Cut out about 10 branches (2 at a time) using scraps of white.
  6. Starting at the bottom you will add branches to solid tree using glue dots and build your tree. Make sure to overlap the branches for a nice full tree.
  7. Make sure to add you tree trunk…just a little cut out of gold foil.
  8. Using adhesive or glue dots adhere the tree to the woodland mat.
  9. Stamp sentiment on scrap of white using the Real Red Ink Pad and notch the edges. Attach with Dimensionals.
