14 Days of Love - Day 4

Good morning everyone! Wow!  What a morning! I taught spin class this morning from 6:30 to 7:30 then rushed home to get kids to school! My daughter Kate debuted her cupcakes today at Mamma Llamas...our favorite local coffee shop!  Adam, who is like is mother, of course wasn't ready! He...like me...gets up at the last possible moment...not wanting to waste a moment of sleep.  Kate, who is like her dad, is an early bird and was ready way ahead of time. I took her (while still in my spin clothes and SWEATY) to drop off her Chocolate Espresso and Lemon cupcakes then back home to take Adam to the high school!  SO...YES...we have to figure out a way for cupcake delivery day to go smoother! I hope the cupcakes are a HIT!!!

I'm back home now, showered, shaved, coffee'd up and on my way out to my workshop to CREATE! Before I get out there I want to share today's 14 Days of LOVE TREAT!

This CUTE and SIMPLE treat is made with the Stampin' UP!  2" X 8" Cellophane bags. First I filled them with these TASTY Cookies & Cream hearts that I found in the bulk section at the grocery store.  I also found some Hershey's chocolate hearts like this at CVS.  You can fit more that three in these bags but I must admit I didn't by enough for my class so I had to go with just three...really that's a nice size treat!  I cut a 2" x 4" piece of Panted with Love DSP and scored it at 2" (the middle). Next I punched each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I folded the bag down to the candy hearts and covered it with the tag topper.  To hold it in place I punched two holes close together at the top and tied a bow using Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon. The corrugated heart is from the Corrugate Elements set of embellishments and the Berry Burst heart is cut using the Lots of Love framelits. I added a Basic Rhinestone in the corner....a Basic Pearl or Tutti Frutti Sequin would look great too! It's SIMPLE...it's CUTE and makes a FUN treat...I hope you will give it a try!!
