Wood Textures Masculine Card

Good morning everyone!  WOW...the morning's almost gone and I haven't gotten a thing done!  Well...a couple loads of laundry and I made my bed, but I wanted to be out in my workshop by now!  I hope your days is going smoother than mine!

I'd like to share another card from my April monthly classes. It's a MASCULINE card! YAY! I have such a hard time with masculine cards, but I'm determined to make at least one a week!

I saw this card on Pinterest and decided it would be a good one to CASE (copy and share everything). I did change it up just a bit, the measurements, the sentiment and the ribbon, but that's it! I LOVE it!

Here's my take on it! It has a Basic Black card base with Wood Textures Designer Paper.  It's 6" X 6" and comes with 48 sheets.  A gal can make a bunch of masculine cards with 48 sheets...lots of mixing and matching FUN!  Anyway...my first layer is 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". Next (with scraps) I cut the two thin pieces.  The dark colored strip is 7/8" X 4" with a  1" X 4 1/8" Basic Black mat.  The light colored strip is 7/8" X 3" with a 1" X 3 1/8" Basic Black mat.  The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set...it's a GREAT Happy Birthday! I stamped it onto a 1" X 3 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock and matted it onto a 1 1/8" X 3 5/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  I attached all three strip pieces with dimensionals and tied a piece of Linen Thread and Black Baker's Twine, into a bow, around the two wooden strips! I LOVE how it turned out and already have a birthday to use it for! YAY!!!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I love sharing my creations with you and hope that you find inspiration here! Have a MARVELOUS day!

  1. You Rock! Masculine cards are the hardest, but ironically more in demand than feminine cards - why you ask...because females are the ones that buy cards...for males...lol Thank you! I love this one!
